Made in Japan, by VESTAX. Price includes ARCHTOP JAZZ GUITAR + Original case + New, unused D’Angelico heavy duty Gig Bag. This is an absolutely pristine 2002 D’Angelico archtop jazz guitar in excellent (9.95) condition. Gorgeous flame maple back and sides. I aquired it at the Winter NAMM show in Jan. 2003 as an artist endorsement deal. Listed at $4,200 new. The guitar is in virtually unplayed condition, 100% original with original hardshell case. $50,000 looks, fantastic playability, at a price you can take to the gig. This is an excellent collectors piece. This is not the cheaper Excel model from Korea. This is the original NYL-2, small body style. Rare, and now it’s a collectible item. With demand outstripping supply, these original guitars are few and far between on the market. Body size at lower bout: 14.75” Scale length: 24.75” Nut Width: 1 11/16th" Materials: Solid bookmatched X-braced. German spruce top; flame maple back, sides and neck; solid ebony fingerboard with pearl split-block inlays; seven ply top binding; three ply binding; triple bound back, bound f-holes, tortoise shell pick guard. Hardware: All original hardware including inlaid adjustable compensated rosewood bridge; stairstep DA logo tailpiece; gold Grover Rotomatic sealed back tuners with Imperial keys.Electronics: Original authentic gold plated floating Johnny Smith style adjustable humbucking pickup mounted to pickguard. Quintuple bound pearloid art deco truss rod cover.Case: Original brown faux alligator DA logo plush hardshell case, slight tear smaller than a dime (see photo).
