Fender Stratcaster Deluxe Series With Ultra Mod Purchased this guitar a while back pre owned. Not really sure about much on this guitar cause it didn't come with any manuals or whatnot. It's a Made in Mexico Fender Stratocaster, says deluxe series on the end of the headstock has vintage style fender tuners and vintage style fender tremolo bridge. I'm not so much a single coil guy more humbucker and if i do use single i usually like the p90's so i got bored with this guitar and saw the ultra strat mod by wolf wire on the 1728 website and did the mod. BIG difference from the stock 5 tones that the guitar limits you with after this mod i had alot of fun with it, only downside it does produce a couple deadspots but i usually install kill switches on my guitars anyways so i just looked at it in that way. I did modify the wiring a little bit by moving the tone 2 control to the bridge pickup instead of the middle because i usually use the bridge more and to be the middle pickup with a tone control was pretty useless. The inside of the cavity is shielded with aluminium foil tape but i didn't do star grounded so it doesn't completely kill the 60 cycle hum but it did quiet it down, unless i am right next 2 my amp i dont get a hum. The guitar is used so it does have some surface scratches nothing really major just as i said its a used guitar everything on there is mostly from the previous owner because i am extremely careful with all my toys :]. Please note the specifications section is just information i've picked up looking online about these strats i am about 90% sure that its spot on though. This guitar is setup for tremolo using, if you never use the whammy bar i can just make it to where it'll just act like a hard tail bridge, I personally like it without the whammy, to me feels much better sustains more and clearer notes. Two things i HATED about getting a guitar on ebay 1. Never setup(bad intonation, neck unstraight, poor action) 2. Always DIRTY(dirty frets/fingerboard, body and neck looks as if its never felt a polish rag in its life, old strings) and i mean DIRTY So on every guitar that i sell i always 1. Set the truss rod 2. Set the intonation 3. Set the action height low 4. Completely setup the tremolo for proper use*If Applicable*(especially in floyd rose equipped guitars because i have yet to get a used floyd rose guitar that had the bridge setup right) 5. Polish the frets 6. Oil/condition the fretboard 7. Polish the hardware 8. Polish the body 9. Polish the neck and headstock 10. Restring the guitar with GHS Boomers .46-.10 gauge strings Figure i'd save you guys a headache and i owned all the guitars that im selling so it was never too bad to begin, look up the prices for a setup like this at the shop its pretty expensive. If you have a specific measurement you like i'm even willing to set it up to your preference(if you want the neck slighter bowed forward or back, higher action, setup for drop-d*only really matters for floyd rose equipped guitars*) just send me a message and i'll do it for you. If not keep in mind mostly i setup the guitars to the factory specs sometimes i'll throw in my own preferences in there so keep that in mind before you think its bad setups are really dictated by personal preference but i figure its better setup then nothing at all :] Also if you want me to modify the guitar in anyway for example different wiring for the pickups, adding killswitch etc contact me and we can work out a price I got more musical equipment for sale so check out my other items!
